Street lights come in various shapes and styles depending on where they're installed. Generally, these lights emit a strong beam meant to light up a wide area from high above. Usually, they're mounted on poles, but sometimes you'll see them on the sides of vertical surfaces like walls and barriers on highways and busier roads.
Every lighting fixture for this use has an IEC ingress protection (IP) rating to keep out dust and water. To withstand extreme weather conditions like heat and snow, they have aluminum casings and tough, impact-resistant lenses covering the LED modules.
